The Negroni’s roots trace back to early 20th-century Italy, where it was created as a bolder twist on the Americano. Legend places its origin in Florence around 1919, when Count Camillo Negroni asked a bartender to replace soda with gin in his favorite drink. It’s simple, equal-parts formula of gin, bitter aperitif, and sweet vermouth creates a perfect balance of bitter, sweet, and botanical flavors. Its elegance, versatility, and enduring popularity have made it a timeless cocktail, embraced at bars around the world.

A layered, assertive drink, this Negroni showcases the juniper-forward character of Junipero Gin alongside the deep, fruity bitterness of Luxardo Bitter Rosso and the rich spice of Silvio Carta Mazzini Sweet Vermouth. The combination delivers bittersweet herbal notes, a smooth, slightly warming finish, and a complexity that elevates this rendition above the austere original, while remaining instantly recognizable and perfectly balanced.
