The Luxardo Last Word
First developed back in 1915 at the Detroit Athletic Club, this cocktail was seemingly lost to time until Seattle bartending legend Murray Stenson rediscovered it in an old cocktail book in 2003. Its catchy name, vibrant color, simple preparation, and unique flavor led it to become an instant hit.
Ingredients
3/4 oz. Luxardo London Dry Gin
3/4 oz. Luxardo Maraschino Originale Liqueur
3/4 oz. Luxardo Del Santo
3/4 oz. lemon juice
Lime twist for garnish
Directions
Add all liquid ingredients to a shaker filled with cracked ice. Shake well until chilled, then strain into a coupe glass (a Nick and Nora glass works great here as well). Garnish with a lime twist and Luxardo Maraschino cherry.
